I design and create jewellery. Some of it I sell - often because I create something I love, but just doesn't work as a piece for me to wear. Rather than leave it sitting around gathering dust, I'd sooner it went to a home where it will be worn.
I am influenced by many things (too many things!) - the sea, gardens, architecture, the Victorian era, fantasy. Sometimes it will be a bead that speaks to me, or a finding that triggers a wave of design ideas. Sometimes a texture, or a piece of fabric, or the pattern on a piece of paper.
These elements inevitably make their way into my designs, sometimes obviously, often less so.
The main materials I use are glass beads, silver and copper, although I am beginning to experiment with polymer clay.
