RapidWeaver
This is a website design program for the Mac. I find it very easy and very nice to use. which is good, as Realmac's tag line is "We make nice things for Macs" (I can wholeheartedly recommend some of their other software too, Socialite and Courier). I think I would have given up on this site a long time ago without this piece of software!
RWMultitool
Multithemes
Multithemes make some nice themes for RapidWeaver, which can be customised using their RWMultitool utility - a nifty little app that makes changing various graphical aspects of a page an utter doddle

Both of these plug-ins from Yourhead Software for Rapidweaver make page layout a breeze. Blocks is good for basic page layout, Stacks lets you create more fluid layouts. For example, this page is created using Blocks, but the Home page uses Stacks, mostly because of the following item...

Elixir Graphics are another company making nice themes for Rapidweaver
ColorSchemer
ColorSchemer make ColorSchemer Studio - an application which does colour matching and colour schemes. For example you could use it to select a colour from a photograph and then build a colour scheme around that using a tetrad scheme. It's also a marvellous time-waster - I find it far too easy to lose track of time whilst creating different colour schemes.
